The Food Project’s BLAST Leadership Cadre is a year-long program for 18 to 25 year old leaders who are working in their own communities to create sustainable food systems by growing food, working with youth, promoting local food, or advocating for and crafting policy. The Cadre program provides intensive training in advocacy, communication and leadership, opportunities for public speaking, networking, group work in policy and activism and exploration of the food system, and guarantees access to national conferences such as the Kellogg Food and Society Conference, and the Community Food Security Conference.
