Tuesday, June 6th marks the opening of The Food Project’s Farmers’ Market at Dudley Town Common. This year’s Market will take place two days a week, Tuesday & Thursday, from 4pm to 7pm. The Market runs throughout the summer and early fall, with the last market day being on Halloween! Dudley Town Common is located at the corner of Blue Hill Avenue and Dudley Street, a few blocks from The Food Project’s urban office.
We are proud to serve the neighborhood that hosts our lots and office, and in particular to offer fresh produce in a community where many of our customers do not otherwise have appropriate access to the food resources they need. While addressing food insecurity, the markets also provide an active space for community building, information sharing, health and nutrition education and local entertainment.
Some of the highlights of this year’s market include:
–Bi-weekly cooking demonstrations from The Food Project Kitchen
–A new vendor, Son Van Yang, to hopefully start in late June
–A new community & entertainment focus on the last Thursday of each month (Beginning Thursday, June 29th)
Every Tuesday and Thursday at Dudley Town Commons in Roxbury, 4pm - 7pm, through the month of October.
We accept cash, Food Stamps, WIC and Farmers’ Market coupons.
