The Food Project, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Boston Public Health Commission are co-sponsoring: Food in the Hub: A summit on access to affordable healthy food in Boston.
The Summit is designed to galvanize support for unified action, identify strategies, and increase collaboration among organizations, coalitions, and groups working to improve access to affordable healthy food in Boston neighborhoods. The long-term goal is to work in collaboration with all of our partners to develop a clear, comprehensive, coordinated action plan to address this issue.
The all day event is slated for Friday, April 28, 9:30 - 3:30 p.m. and will convene at Roxbury Center for Arts at Hibernian Hall near Dudley Square.
The Honorable Thomas M. Menino, Mayor City of Boston will kick-off the event. Pat Gray, Executive Director will frame the discussion around community involvement during the morning session and offer guidance as a content expert during afternoon brainstorming sessions. Wil Bullock, Academic Year Program Coordinator, will be the luncheon speaker.

Greetings,
I’m Joel Morton, newly appointed Coordinator of the Farm Aid Hotline and Resource Directory. (Farm Aid’s office is in Somerville.) I’m busy learning as much as I can about local, regional, and national sustainable food ventures, and I’d love to learn more about The Food Project. Please drop me an email when you get a chance, and perhaps we could set up a time to get together. Thanks very much!
Joel Morton
